School №12
School №12 was founded in 1986 in Chernihiv, Ukraine and was the symbol of the friendship of Ukraine and Byelorussia. The first director of this school was Stelmah Volodimir Andriyovich, and he has been director for 14 years. In 1989, one of the first in the city, the school started studying in the Ukrainian language. In 1998-1999, school was reorganized into specialized school of Physics and Mathematics profile.
Studying in the school continue for 11 years. The school has three stages: primary school, secondary school, and high school.
The school has three floors. There is a canteen, two gyms, two libraries, a museum, and more then a hundred classrooms. The primary school is in a separate sector. The school has its own champions. For example, Olena Kostewich – the Olympic champion in Athens in 2004 and in 2012 in London, European and World champion in shooting, Master of Sports of Ukraine – graduate of 2002.
